Peanut's Story
Lt. Michael Paul Miller, known by many as "Peanut", passed away June 20, 2015, while on duty at the Green Bay Metro Fire Department Station 3. Peanut was an 18-year veteran of the department and enjoyed living in the community he served. Understanding the importance of education and fueling his own dreams he earned his Fire Medic Associates Degree in December 2014, an accomplishment he was very proud of. The Lt. Michael “Peanut” Miller Memorial Foundation was established to carry on a legacy of giving back to the communities in which Peanut served throughout his life, Racine County (WI), Brown County (WI) and San Luis Obispo County (CA) and assist others in achieving their educational dreams in the field of fire science.
